Mice got smart and avoided wooden Victor traps and cheese after while. Think associated smell with death. One I was able to catch pawed-off the cheese but got arm caught. Roll-in the rodent zapper for the survivors (I was 18 kills and 8 got-aways w/Victor trap) They walked into the zapper for some chocolate and ZAP! So far 2 for 2 in 2 nights. Recommended this product for the smart ones--They adapt! Thanks
I despise rodents, however in ignorance I purchased a piano @ a second hand store and found a family of mice. I didn't want poison because I have small dogs.,so I wanted to find the most advantageous answer which happened to be a rodent zapper. It's easy to use, with batteries or cord, once rodent is zapped the machine makes a beeping noise to allow it to be emptied. Simply cut off switch, hold over garbage can dump out. Drop in any type of food ,flip switch on ....ready to go. I never felt guilty because you have no blood,no anything just the beeping. I am not a fan of killing anything but sometimes things must go. This is the most humane way even for rodents.
We have killed 5 rats in 2 nights. Though it took about 3 nights to figure out the best location, once that happened, this is fantastic. I have been keeping it plugged in to ensure the charge is strong enough. The only qualm is the beeping is quite loud - we live in an older house so it wakes me up when a rat is caught. Not the most terrible thing, except that our rats are typically out in the middle of the night so I feel a little like a parent with a newborn, getting up multiple times the last few nights, tending to the trap (and then our dog), then going back to sleep. All in all, very effective.
For the longest time I thought this didnt work. Had it for about 6 months and the red light would blink and the tag said when something is in side it will blink red I thought it was broken. I put in some peanut butter and nothing then i put in some lawn seeds since a left over bag got raided. I'm not sure how it got my bag of lawn seeds since it was in a high place with nothing to climb. So I thought they had all left since I had nothing of food around. One day I seen something move and I moved things and herd nothing and seen nothing. that same day I trun it back on the red light was flashing and just left it. 2 days later i came back to open the door i heard a beeping sounds with a green light flashing. I thought to my self now it wants to be green but why keep beeping. Then I seen a tail and I was so surprised to find this. So it does work. Give it 5 stars cause I know they are smart but it just takes time.
Excellent Product. The very first night the mousetrap eliminated the bane of my existence! I used the adapter cord and plugged it in rather than the batteries, so I don't know if those work yet. After the light on the device turned from red to green, I just turned off the mousetrap, picked it up and tilted it into a plastic bag and the rat slid out. The next day I took it apart and cleaned it and it is back in action. I would definitely recommend this device! It is easy to use, clean and bait and most important it works like a charm!
My uncle owns a restuarant and he invited me to work there this summer. We found out that he had a bit of a pest problem, rats and mice had made nests in the basement. Being an old timer he set out old-school snap traps but they weren't very effective and got blood everywhere. I found the mousetrap at a hardware store and we tried it out. Much more effective than snap traps and no mess to clean up. My uncle is happy and his restaurant is safe and sound for another generation of Wu's.
I'm satisfied. I read all the reviews before ordering this and was still having a little skeptical. This thing worked perfectly! I was using the D cell batteries with it, but it only lasted for about five kills. I’m seeing mice pretty much all over my patio from time to time, so I will be hooking it up with the cord and maybe I’ll have better success reducing their numbers by having it plugged in. All in all, I really like this thing, especially the part about not having to touch any of them to dispose of them
Whenever I see rodent activity in my garage I setup this electronic mouse trap in that area. I put a little peanut butter in the food tray and that does the trick. I've caught a lot of mice and shrews this way. Most of the time I'll hear the beeping that lets me know something has been caught. But sometimes I'll check the trap and a rodent will be dead inside. It's easy to dump out, and I'll usually leave the same bait in for a while. Eventually I clean everything with warm soap water and set it up again with fresh peanut butter.
It worked! Took longer than I anticipated and I was naming the wildlife in my basement since I could not catch them. Hector finally got zapped and today his big brother Bruce got it too. I need to find where they are coming in but that's another story. So I want to say have patience use cheese and know that the trap works.
For me the most important thing I'm looking for in a rodent trap is that the animal doesn't suffer and is disposed of in a humane way. The mousetrap gets the job done and meets my expectations. It really disposes of them humanely and possible and relatively painlessly. It's the only trap I use these days.
It works! Follow the directions and the critters will line up for execution. No fuss, no mess, just death and destruction for unwanted visitors.
It did what it said it could do ,so I cany complain about it not working. Unliky my previous rodent zapper by another brand this is easier to bait and clean. It even has depression area for the bait. If it is missing anything it would be a fitted bait removeable dish for bait well. Make it easier to clear old bait. Rodents are smart if they know some food killed another of their kind they may start to avoid the food's smell.
I own a warehouse and over the recent past we have developed an infestation of rats. I have tried several different traps and non of them worked more than one or two times. the rats are smart and when one gets trapped, it will notify all others to stay away. That is not the case with mousetrap. The rats don't have a chance to make a sound and they are killed instantly. I've only had to bait the trap one time and haven't even cleaned it yet. I just turn the trap on end and dump straight into the trash, reset it, and check it often. I have caught 7 big rats so far and still counting. Big THANKS.
I'd heard of rodent traps but none that could get rid of squirrels. We have a bunch of squirrel nests in our trees out back and they love to climb down and steal the birdseed from our feeders. I put the mousetrap under the birdfeeders and the next day found a dead squirrel in it. Works well even on big rodents!
I knew I had rats in our pool shed. The old school mechanical traps kept going off but no rats, this trap is on 1 week of duty and has tallied 3 kills so far. Kinda perturbed we had this many around the house. Hopefully we cull them all as they have done some damage to the house and pool floats. I'm using peanuts as bait, sprinkle some around the trap and throw some inside on the bait box. Really pleased with the performance.
I've been through quite a few rodent traps in my day and I have to say that this is the best one out there. It really does a good job of killing the little guys instantly. From what I understand they don't even feel it. I keep them in my garage and every once in a while catch a stray mouse or vole.
I absolutely love this trap! I brought everything for these annoying rats but nothing wouldn’t work. These rats were smart! They avoided every trap I put out. I was about to give up hope when I seen this product! I read the reviews and decided to buy the product. The first month was horrible because I wasn’t sure where to place it. When I found out the perfect place to put it I was catching rats. I bagged three rats the first night. Plus I don’t have to physically touch the rats, which is definitely a plus!
