These are the authentic egglettes as seen on TV. I think there are others that are not this brand that othere sellers are selling and those have terrible reviews. This product is authentic. Comes in its case with instruction & recipe booklet. I bought this item because my kids like hard boiled eggs, but not the yolk. I've used these to make hard boiled egg whites and they work wonderfully. Just lightly spray with cooking spray, fill with egg whites, tightly close lids and place in boiling water. I let them cook for 15 minutes, then take them out and place in cold water for a bit. Open each pod and they slide right out and are not greasy. There is no mess and are super easy to clean because none of the eggs get stuck in the pod. Love these. Highly recommend.
I’ve found my new go-to way of making hard boiled eggs! I do recommend spraying a little cooking spray first, but it’s so quick and easy to use.. and there’s no more mess to clean up! The pods can also serve as little storage containers in the fridge (if you’re not going to eat them right away) and are convenient for when you’re on the go. I can’t wait to try scrambled eggs next!
I bought Egglettes because I notoriously have had a problem peeling the shells off hard-boiled eggs. I've tried every trick in the book and I just for whatever reason could never get the hang of it and it looked like the eggs were eaten by moths when I was done peeling every little piece of shell off. So when I found these, I thought it was worth a shot. I'm happy to report that after following directions to a tee (as some of the other reviewers suggested) these really worked great! I mean, they're not perfect egg shaped, but that's ok! I notice that in the recipe book, you just scoop out the yolk from the flat side and refill for deviled eggs. They popped out pretty easily too! (Just don't forget the cooking spray and make sure it's well coated as it says - wiping off the excess.) To remove, I suggest tapping on them upside-down first before taking off the top, then gently squeezing from the sides to allow air into the back and they come right out. I had no trouble cleaning them out either. There was hardly anything TO clean out. I highly recommend them!
Works great. I even made flan in them
Very convenient and works every time. No more tough eggshell stories.
Great product, makes perfect boiled eggs without the hassle of peeling.
Cool product! Easy to use. Making poached eggs is a nightmare without this!
Great product, just as described
Simple - Cheap - And works like a charm! I make all 6 at a time and leave in fridge as a quick snack and eat right out the container..
Works great for egg salad. I lost the instructions so o just cracked them and plopped them in water, boiled them for maybe a little over 15 minutes and used a plastic baby spoon to scoop the eggs out. No extra water or anything in the pod. Just make sure the water doesn’t go over where the lid seals to the pod and you’ll be good to go. I used a big pot and put 12 pods in. I think the fact that they didn’t have much room to tip over or move around helped too.
I love these and only bought 4 in case it was a disaster, now I plan to get 4 more, I will admit, it is way easier to boil eggs regular but I hate peeling them and always end up eating a shell piece. 1st time I cooked them they flipped on their side, but didnt leak. So I had very mis-shapen eggs but they cooked through just fine. 2nd time and every time since I followed directions exact, put them in the water when it is good and boiling and no tipping , I think my 1st try I put in before water boiled and as it started going it tipped them over. My other trick is to put them around the edge of the pot instead of center. If you want perfect oval shaped eggs it is not going to happen though, I used plain cooking spray and a plastic knife to pop them out, was very easy. Have put the egglets in my dishwasher 4 times now and they are holding up fine. The time i would take peeling eggs is the extra time I take setting up the egglets, and they work in the dishwasher so I am not concerned over extra dishes.
When my husband purchased these, my first thought was “What a ridiculous product-there’s nothing easier than boiling an egg”! However, these are actually pretty neat. I like that I can bring my boiled egg to work for lunch, it’s not a big mess to peel, and it doesn’t get crushed in my lunchbox. The egg just slides right out. Good product if you need to transport boiled eggs. I recommend.
Love these egglettes egg cookers. I use farm fresh eggs and anyone who does, know's how hard they are to peel when they are hard boiled. I just use a little spray olive oil, then crack the egg in these little cups and boil them. They come out perfect! Very happy with these, clean up has been easy for me too. Highly recommended.
First off, I received my order of the Egglettes Egg Cooker in record time! I couldn't believe how quickly it arrived on my doorstep- several days before the estimated date. Upon using it, I was impressed with its ease and convenience. The instructions were clear, and it worked as advertised. In no time, I had a perfectly cooked hard-boiled egg that popped right out of the Egglette with no problem (I did use cooking spray as instructed). Additionally, it's so nice not to have to peel the shell afterward. I can definitely see myself using this product frequently as a meal prep tool.
I spend a lot of time with my grandmother, who is in her 80s. She’s had arthritis for many years and recently it’s affected her cooking skills. She was upset that she couldn’t even crack an egg w/o crushing pieces of the shell into her food. I found these egglettes on a whim, and bought them for her. She is in love with these things! Twice a week I crack 4 eggs into their individual silicon container( after spraying a bit of Pam, helpful tip) and stick them in her fridge. Throughout the week she grabs them and tosses them in a pot to boil, or unscrews the lid and makes a scramble-anything at all. It gives me such piece of mind, knowing she has the capability to cook an egg w/o worrying about the shell now. My only regret is not buying more!
Great for meal prepping. So surprised at how easily the eggs slid out and so easy to clean!
How I use these: 1. Put enough water in a small sauce pan so that the water level is below the lid of the egg Lettie cup and bring to a rolling boil. 2. Butter the inside of the cup 3. Break the egg and pour it into the cup. 4. Stick a table knife through the hole in the lid and lower into the water. 5. For medium. I cook 9 minutes with the water still rolling boil. 6. Extract from the water using the knife. 7. Let it set for 1 minutes. 8. Unscrew the lid using the knife. 9. Run the blade of the table knife around the cup to loosen the egg 10. Turn the cup upside down and squeeze the cup a bit to extract the egg. I turn it onto my toast and chop it to cover the toast. I would certainly recommend this product. I paid full price for it. Enjoy.
Soft boiled eggs, every morning for three months now and will buy more if these wear out. Key is not overfilling, making sure the caps are on tight, but not overly tight; keeping them religiously clean; the hole in the cap clear; turning the boiling water down to a slow roil _after_ the egg-lets are introduced; and using a pot that is sized just right to mitigate any tendency to turn turtle if the above steps are accidentally not done correctly. I also find that using room temperature butter, liberally applied with the index finger to the insides, and with a light application of same to the silicone ring before tightening the cap for a better seal, will result in no sticking whatsoever if done properly. I gave up on all other sprays and oils ... the butter insures a smooth surface on the finish egg, just as if it came out of the shell. Also, the more they cool with cooked egg inside, the more chance of some sticking, but, using butter helps even that tendency, rarely ending in a hassle to clean. Used as above should increase your satisfaction. As always,YMMV ...
i have read previous reviews and decided to buy them anyway. I think the trick is to have the right size pot when you boil them (besides oiling insides). I have small 8" pot, maybe 4-5" height. four of these fit snug nut there is maybe a bit of space between them like 1/4". so when they are boiled, they stay upright. if you oil them enough on the inside, then it is easy to just squeeze them out, almost like toothpaste. once forgot about them, and they were fine. recommend them but get the right size pot and you will enjoy them.
