Bought two as Christmas gifts for my Son (27) and Wife. They both have really liked it so far for gym time. They throw it in their bags (rolled up) and then use it at the gym. Very good construction and heavy duty cap. the strap is sturdy and has held up to very cold weather sitting in Son car overnight a few times. Great product and I am a genius for buying.
Nice bottle! It seals well, does not leak, doesn't get damaged like aluminum bottles if a little too much water is frozen in it, and folds to about 1/3 its size when empty, so as not to take up more space than necessary. Also, for whatever reason(s), it seems to better insulate the water than my aluminum or plastic bottles do, keeping the water, or other drink, colder longer. It's also very easy to drink from, and only takes about 1/4 of a turn to open the top for drinking, and neither the main "fill" cap nor the smaller drinking spout has ever leaked. The bottle itself does not "sweat" like the aluminum bottles I have do, nor does the bottle dent or get damaged when dropped. Lastly, being able to fold the empty bottle into about 1/3 of the space of the full bottle can be valuable, and provide additional space in my pack. Great bottle - may have to get another one!!
I bought three of these for a trip to Europe. They are very light to carry easy to fill and convenient for travel. I am very pleased with this purchase! It saved a lot of money to have the water bottle with us all day long and just fill up rather than having to buy new bottles of water. I got some of the Night-ize clips so they could easily be clipped to our backpacks.
This water bottle has an amazing array of features. Pre-purchase research identified several capabilities and this bottle actually did well in almost contradictory things. It is not rated as "One Hand" but if the flip top over the mouthpiece is not twisted down for the no leak mode, it is easily opened one hand. When the top is twisted down, I was able to safely carry this in the same bag as my camera without fear of any leaking. It is not as easy to collapse as the picture shows since it has a ring stabilizer you would have to remove, but even with that on, it collapsed to the point where empty, or partially filled, it could easily squish into irregular spaces or outside zipper compartments for example. Since the entire top screws off, it is easy to fill, to load with ice, and to clean. The strap is very secure. I don't know what else you could ask for.
This is a marvelous water bottle and the attention to detail by the company is incredible. They really helped me out. I use this to travel with and have found it works perfectly to have the bottle three-quarters full and then it will "squish" into those very tight seat back pockets on an airplane. That way I have water without having to hold on to the bottle the entire time. It works great! Best of all, when you get where you're going you can roll the bottle up and store it away easily. I'm a big fan! UPDATE: Had really planned to use this mostly on an airplane but ended up using at Disney World and it was great. All day trip - walking in the muggy heat and needing a lot of water and the Nomader came through like a trooper! Being soft made it easy to load into a bag or backpack or water bottle pocket. It holds a LOT of water. It just worked great. Then, on the way home, it fit perfectly into the seat back pocket. So I added this photo. It's just a really nice bottle.
Very good quality. Great Water Bottle - I appreciate the twist cap - helps with hygiene - easy to clean - the strap comes in handy to attach to your backpack or bag. Fits in most pocket holders with a little finesse - perhaps make another model that is not as wide? Otherwise Perfect!
What a neat little travel product! I always overpack, so I'm constantly on the lookout for products that will lighten my load, but also take up less space in my carry-on. A few years ago we bought some of those camping/travel water bags, which are completely flat except for the neck and cap. They're great for weight and space, but terrible to drink from, and you can't stand them up anywhere. This means that in an airport, you have to hold it in your hands unless you want the drinking part to touch floors or other airport surfaces. The genius of this Nomader bottle is that you can either roll it or just squash it into your suitcase when it's empty, AND, when you unroll it to fill and drink from it, it maintains its bottle shape, which makes for a vastly improved drinking experience and a bottle that stands up properly! Two things I want to add: 1) In reference to a few comments I've read about odor, NO ONE has a nose as sensitive as mine (it once led to a hilarious accident that involved me following a smell all over the house and into our attic, slipping off a beam, and having my legs — just my legs! — punch down through the ceiling plaster into the living room below, inches from the heads of two good friends standing there), and I can detect NO smell whatsoever, even upon first opening it fresh out of the box; and 2) The customer service from this company is nonpareil! The founder reached out to me personally regarding something in my seller feedback, and he was SO helpful and communicative! Love the bottle, love the company, and I highly recommend this as a great, compact and lightweight travel water bottle! EDIT: Okay, just came back from two weeks in Norway, the trip I bought this for — we were all over the wild north, up in the Arctic Circle — and this bottle was GREAT. I want to mention that it was convenient to open and fill, easy to squash into spaces in the bags or daypacks, and one aspect I really didn't think about until I was traveling with it was that the silicon makes it great to grip! You will not ever drop this bottle, no matter how buttery your butterfingers! I even managed to keep it on a table on a boat ride while we were rolling over waves, when everyone else's things were falling all over the place! If you're exhausted from buying a million different travel water bottles and aren't sure...JUST BUY THIS. A great product, fantastic support from the company, and it's stylish to look at, too!
I was looking for a water bottle that was lightweight, sturdy and easy to transport when we travelled. I had bought a collapsible bottle a couple of years ago which was made of a clear polyethylene material and, although it was indeed light and folded very flat, it just didn't stand up very well. It was also not very easy to hold onto when filled with liquid. I read several of the reviews for the Nomader and people seemed to like it. For me, the design was what really made me choose it. There are several collapsible water bottles made of the same or similar materials. However, the design of the Nomader outshined the others. I also liked the color selections. I got a purple and an orange one for me and my husband. Now that I've used it for hiking and on a trip, I'm sooo glad I picked it. I walked all over New England and this bottle was with me everywhere. It is very sturdy, stands up on its own, holds hot and cold liquids, and you can add flavor packets or essential oils to it. (I like to put those True Lime and True Lemon packets in my water, or a drop or two of mint essential oil.) It can be a little tricky to roll up, but the bottle does collapse well enough to stick in the carry on going through airport security or in your backpack when it's empty. It doesn't get totally flat like that polyethylene bottle, but since I prefer being able to really use the bottle with liquids in it, I don't mind that it's not totally flat one bit. I really like the strap, too, which was a selling point for me. I went to the sporting goods store and got a little S-Hook and attached that to the strap so I can hook it on my luggage or my fanny pack when hiking. I also like it that the strap will wrap around my wrist. Another reason I got this one, and like it, is the plastic sleeve. Although the bottle certainly stands up on its own, the sleeve adds more stability and also acts as a barrier if your liquid is hot or cold. If I were to suggest improvements, it would be to make the cap a bit easier to flip up an down and snap closed. Because the design of the cap needs to be screwed down to keep it from leaking, it means you have to unscrew it to open it. I would like to be able to flip it up and down with a snap. However, I have found this is a minor inconvenience and the rest of the design outweighs that. It's great to travel with, and easily slides in the pocket on the back of airline seats. I even was able to wedge it between my seat and the airplane wall, when sitting at a window spot. That's not possible with those hard bottles. On the whole, I highly recommend this bottle. Finally, the customer service is excellent. If you get this, I don't think you'll be disappointed in the product one bit.
OK - so let me first say, my wife was the one who brought this, she has a thing for water bottles... so I sort of made fun of her and ask her do you really need ANOTHER water bottle?? But, let me just say, by the end of our trip, this water bottle was no longer her's it was MINE. Twist cap amazing, it doesn't leak and my kids were able to use it.. i like that it's compact and you can just throw it in your backpack when it's not filled with water. and yes, the wife went ahead and order herself another one.. so now we have 2.
My husband and I each took one of these with us on a recent cruise and they were great to have along. We added a carabiner to each, then were able to clip the rolled up water bottle to our carry on bag. Once filled, we still clipped the bottles to a bag, or a belt loop. In the airport, we filled them up after going through security and had water while we waited and on the plane until beverage service began. On the ship we used them to carry water with us anywhere we were hanging out. We took off the tops and hung them from suction cup hooks in our room each evening to dry/air out. When arriving in ports we filled them prior to leaving the ship and had water while we wandered. Restaurants were very willing to refill them with ice and water for us everywhere we went.
This bottle arrived folded up and held in place by a piece of silicone rope which is attached to the top of the bottle. I unlocked the rope and pressed the white one-button switch, then the lid opened. But the body of the bottle was still flattened state. Then i pressed the white air return valve button for seconds, the bottle body expanded and stood straight. Unscrew the cap of the bottle to clean it with warm water. Wide-mouthed design makes it really convenient to clean the inside and add water. Add some drinking water and try to use it to get some water. It is amazing! I just press the sides and the water spray out. But no leak without squeezing the bottle body. I like its leak proof design. I expected the bottle to smell strongly but it didn't smell at all. I think it's a really good idea and very useful to take travelling as you can simply fold the bottle up when finished with it.
I purchased this for airline trips as well as backpacking. It's a challenge to carry a hard water bottle, especially when you are carry so much other stuff. This bottle rolled up and stored perfectly until thru security, then I filled it ( instead of paying $5.00 for a bottle of water at airport) and carried it. Being lighter weight to start helped, as well as it's easy to grip, slide in the side pouch of backpack, and easier to pull out. Once in the plane I simply tucked it into the seat pocket in front of me. I loved it. I say loved because they asked for volunteers to leave the plane as it was overcrowed, or to much weight as a Captain put it. so I offered to wait till next flight. Unfortunately I left my bottle tucked in the seat pocket 😣 and by the time I realized it the plane was already gone. My bad. It is a great bottle, no smell for first time use, easy to roll and store, easy and nice to use. I hope to get another one real soon because I need to try it out for my backpacking trip!
I searched quite a bit for a collapsable bottle as I do a lot of international travel and try and pack light. I was excited about trying this one, but it leaked when I first tried it out! After amazing customer service and a little troubleshooting with the company, figured out the simple little problem I was having with the lid (inside the lid there's a ring that was just slightly out of place, but I was able to pop it in to the right spot). It works perfectly and I've been using it ever since! The customer service was amazing -- super quick response to my problem and they sent me a replacement immediately even though I didn't end up needing it. I'm paying it forward and will gift the spare to another nomad friend so they can also enjoy this great bottle. Highly recommend!!!
This is my airline water bottle for trips, I keep it folded up and empty, and once I get past security and get to my gate, I go fill it up and then I've got water for during my flight. It stands up by itself, it never leaks, the closure mechanism is quite secure. It's durable and light, I don't have to worry about it breaking or exploding in my bag, which is my favorite thing. The looped strap means you can hang it from a hook or a doorknob. It stands upright easily, especially with the plastic support sleeve. Use a carabiner to attach it to a backpack or hang it from a hook in the kitchen. Bought one for myself and my spouse, we traveled all over Europe with our Nomaders, highly satisfied with these bottles. I recently lost mine, and I just ordered another one, it's on my "must have" list of practical items for living efficiently. Some people report it tasting plastic-like. When I first got mine, I put boiling water in it, just like they recommend, and I haven't had any taste issues. Get one!
So I switched to the nomader and love it. I never use the plastic sleeve that goes around it -- I just toss that out immediately. No chemical flavor. Useful for keeping myself warm (I put hot tea in it and drink it / hold it in my hands), useful for icing injuries, add water, freeze entire bottle, and go hiking, etc. Very easy to wash, durable.
When you get to the airport just after 4 a.m. for that 5:30 a.m. flight, you discover that none of the stores are open, not even the usual suspects like coffee shops. But every airport I fly through has water bottle refilling stations. This is the bottle that works. It's lightweight, so it can be rolled up and stuck in a side pocket of your backpack. It's got a snug lid, and the spout has never leaked, and I give it a good workout. The lid screws off for easy refilling and easy washing. Best of all, you can put some water into the bottle and freeze it, to keep it cool longer. When it's getting nearly empty, it doesn't collapse. You can put it in the dishwasher for a good clean. It's a useful, easy-to-own water bottle.
I was skeptical when I first opened the package. I figured this bottle would be extremely flimsy and would not hold up to regular use, and especially would not hold up to hot drinks. I must say, I've been pleasantly surprised with this bottle! It does fold down extremely small for travel (especially as an airplane carryon). I certainly recommend this bottle and might even buy another for myself
It's just exactly as they say it is. Be sure to look at how it folds back up before you unfold it. Several of us played with it, folding was intuitive for some & not for others. Other than that it's very tough & doesn't leak. Hard to believe an easy-off lid is that water tight. My only surprise was that in the "cup holder" on my Harley, it made it rotate with vibration. It's a spendy cup holder with a fixed rod attached to the handlebars & has a rubber washer where the rod attaches to the holder. I can't get it tight enough to hold the weight with the bottle full but it works fine if 1/2-3/4 full. Still, I'm very happy with my purchase. It works great in a pack or flopping on the side of a canoe, etc.
Well this is the coolest thing ever! I travel quite a bit and i usually don't take a bottle with me because they are big and bulky and i usually loose something or it! This collapsible water bottle is a perfect traveling accessorie. It stays collaped until after security then i fill it up, for the trip. Its a good size and fits my side compartment in my travel backpack and the cap screws in securely so i don't have to worry about it opening accidently spilling all over the place. I follow the instructions on how to clean it and it works just fine.
This bottle works so well that it is my go-to on a daily basis now. I've tried a couple other collapsible water bottles before and always been very disappointed while using them. I was hesitant about this one but glad I gave it a try. I bought another one for my mom for Christmas. She will probably use it mostly for traveling.
Great gift for people constantly commuting and traveling. It does stand up right well. May not keep water chilled for too long. It's easy to pack away.
I use this when I'm hiking or making a long trip in my car. I do not buy anything made of plastic anymore and this water bottle fit that bill. It's very convenient and easy to clean and doesn't weigh as much as glass (which I had been using instead of plastic). I already use silicone baking supplies and really like this alternative.
Bought for my Vegas trip. Zero complaints. Saved me lots by not buying water on the strip. Allowed in all the places I went. Easy to clean. Collapses to be a little larger than a fist. I recommend attaching it to your belt with a carabineer. Vegas is hot, you like alcohol, so drink it empty about every two hours and party responsibly.
As soon as I saw this cool bottle on an amazon deal I bought it. It's really impressive quality and at the end of the day I just roll it up and put it in my bag so I don't forget it. People at work think it's neat too when I show them how it works. It's not really intended to keep drinks cool for a long time. It's more for people who will drink and refill or as a convenience. I refill it through the day and don't pay for bottled water or have to carry around clunky and space wasting bottles.
This is a great water bottle. It's a perfect travel accessory. Easy to clean and refill. It had a slight silicon smell when I bought it. All you need to do is boil it in water for 5-10 minutes like what the instructions said then the smell will go away. I carry it around on my trips. Highly recommended.
to carry, clean and store. Bought as a gift for my hubby. He now can take a good supply of water and keep hydrated while working on his projects. When empty, collapse and tuck in his work bag. Very nice.We are well pleased!
Appear to be well made. I'm glad I purchased the larger bottles because you can always squeeze them down flat or put the air back in to have them stand. They don't appear to leak since there's a rubber stop in the cap that the spout closes againt. Also I didn't really notice an odor but soaked them with baking soda anyway to be sure.
It's perfect for me! Now I remember to drink enough (because the bottle feels and looks empty or still too full with one look). It's perfect for my travels and everyday commute, because it fits under nearly every tab and isn't big when empty. It's super save. When closed properly (one time I didn't screw it shut all the way and thought my bottle leaked - it didn't, it was my fault) it's absolutely leak proof in my experience. I only use the bottle for tea and water. Sometimes the tea flavor lingers. And the Siliconbutton at the Top is loose when open - Its just sometimes and when it's close the pressure holds it in place just fine (I think I fiddled with it) . I also once used it as a hot water bottle. Really nice.
This bottle is excellent - exactly as described - it's easy to clean, easy to fill, and does not leak under normal carrying. I have seen other state it won't stand if partially empty - this is simply not true - all you have to do is push the small button on the cap and allow the air to return into the bottle - it resumes is normal shape and will stand with any amount of water inside. Very easy to drink from - good cap to keep the spout clean and protected - very solid design. Once it's empty, just roll it up and off you go with a fraction of the space taken up.
I bought this to take on a trip to Greece. I got a carabiner and clipped it to my backpack. It was great. It rolled down really small when not in use. There was no weird smell or taste. I did fill it with boiling water and soak it when i first got it, per the directions. Even when filled with water it was comfortable to hang from my pack. I really liked the feature that lets you add air to the bottle after you drink. Despite what several people said, I had no problem with the bottle getting really dirty or attracting dirt or anything else. I was on a trip where I was dragging it through airports, buses, cities, and out in nature hiking and climbing, etc. That just wasn't an issue at all! It also does not leak. I'm planning on buying one of these for each member of my immediate family. They're that great. One thing to watch- The band that wraps around and secures the bottle when it's rolled up can work it's way off. I luckily noticed mine lying on the ground at one point, so I was able to grab it, but if I'd not noticed until later I wouldn't have been able to collapse my bottle.
I liked the compactibility of the water bottle and its utility once I fill it with a liquid (mostly water). Very useful for air travel as it fits on the outside of my backpack and then into a pocket whenever I choose to stow it. The bottle has a pleasant tactility. I have other bottles that are made of rigid material, but this one is the most useful. Very happy.
It came with a note that said how to get rid of manufacturing smell. I did not notice any smell but washed with warm soap water and air dried. I rolled it up and packed it for a day of walking around Chicago. I loved how I could roll it up as it empties leaving more room in my bag. After that trip was over I even rolled it up and packed in my carry on bag, I filled it with water for my plane ride and was very happy to have my own water as we didn't get beverage service due to the turbulence.
This water bottle is great. I typically use a Nalgene, but it takes up so much space, especially going through airports when it needs to be empty. I like how small this one gets, but the lid is still quality and hasn’t leaked yet. It’s a bit difficult to clean all of the crevices but I might just soak it now and then to make sure it’s disinfected. It even stands up on its own while empty, if you want. I would recommend.
Awesome purchase! Easy storage! Good for kids, runners, walkers, workers that forget to get their water in because of running back and forth to cooler with small cups.
Best purchase ever! Makes traveling so much easier - rolls up tight, doesn't leak. I highly recommend!
This collapsible water bottle is leak proof it works really really great I love it this is the only water bottle I'm going to use probably for the rest of my life
I bought this to take on a trip to Portland with me. Very useful. Easy to collapse and chuck in your purse, bag, backpack, etc. and fill up after the security checkpoint in the airport. It’s a little weird and takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it’s very easy to use. Very good quality.
I bought this for my son during his Boy Scout trips and it's perfect. I love that it's collapsible, easy to clean, and lightweight.
