Ok, so when this actually arrived, I was a little disappointed. Its a little smaller than I thought and didn't seem very substantial. However, I've had it for a couple of weeks now and still have yet to recharge it since the initial charging. The hook is real handy, but it also includes a magnetic plate that you can stick to a surface semi permanently. I have it in my baby's room and it turns on when I or the Mrs enter in the middlenif the night. Kight is bright enough to change a diaper, but gentle enough not to startle the baby awake. My skepticism has been relieved and this is worth every penny!
So, I file this one under "life journey markers." Like, those moments when you just have to acknowledge you're old, not cool, and it's come to this. Like, you don't see so good anymore at night, right? You now have a corporate job where you travel a lot, and all these hotels are the same, yet slightly different. You definitely can't sleep through the night without having to use the restroom anymore. Some hotel rooms are impossibly dark at night, and you have stubbed your toe so badly that you wake up to bloody footsteps and stained sheets. So yes. Buy this little light. Put it in your roller bag. Hang it on the door knob of the bathroom. It's all come to this.
We use this to light up trips to bathroom on a cruise or motel. Magnet on back firmly attaches to the metal door to bathroom. As we approach, the way is lit. No need to turn on cabin or room bright lights. Charge lasts at least ten days, maybe longer. Hook included used in metals hang on towel rod by bathroom.
Overall I do recommend this. It's a good light that does what I was expecting it to do. If you're looking for a just a little lighting to help you find things in your closet without blinding you in the morning or night, this is it. Just know that while it's a good light, if you're looking for a powerful light, you'll want to look elsewhere.
I got this for a storage closet that I need to read labels of stuff in. It's a nice addition to have a light in there. Don't expect this light to be a replacement for a powerful ceiling light or a even most lamps. It offers about as much light as a dim bed lamp used for reading at night. You won't be able to see and read everything in a closet when it turns on. You'll need to hold it and move it with you if you're looking for things at the top or corners. But it does do a good job lighting up the areas I usually need some light at. Good news is it lights up about half a second after open the door and holds a charge for a few months at a time. It also charges relatively quickly, which is nice.
I originally purchased one light for an upcoming cruise to use as a night light. After charging the unit I placed it in my bathroom, hanging it on the shower curtain rod, and turned it on to the auto mode to test it out. I love it, it has a good range for motion detection, stays on for about 15-20 seconds, if you move within that range of motion it will turn on again. It's not super bright but that's what you want for a night light, bright enough to see what you need to, but not so bright that you have to squint your eyes & practically wake you up. I liked this so much that I purchased two more and will be using them now at home & the cruise. They have a hook and a magnet on the back so you can place them just about anywhere. Good to use for power outages, in a dark hallway, really anywhere you need some light when it's dark and no outlets available. I cannot say how long the initial three hour charge lasts since I'm still using it from the initial charge. Very happy with my purchases.

Great for stairs. I used the hook to attach it to the top of the stairs. Just hang it on the rail so I don't have to stick it to anything. I just turn it on to use at night at the top of the stairs. Love it. Easy to charge. I'm buying more now.
We ordered more for our parents. Very bright. The best is being able to charge like a phone. And we could place on the refrigerator with its magnet.

I bought and sent this to my son who works/lives on a cruise ship. This is magnetic and my sons whole room is metal so he likes this light because he can move it around and stick it on the wall next to his bed, on the ceiling or wherever. Plus he likes this light because it’s rechargeable.
We haven’t hit the end of the battery life yet and these are great. They are hanging on railings by the steps for our kids’ bunk beds. They pick up motion right away (as our daughter approaches the step from her bed up top) and turn off in a reasonably quick time after movement stops (maybe 15 seconds or so). Just long enough and definitely bright enough for her to get down and walk to the door - or walk up and crawl under blankets - all before the other wakes up from the lights going on!
Liked 1st light so much, bought 2 more. Only problem is that detection seems to come ONLY from front movement, no detection from sides. Easily resolved by adjusting placement of light. Charges quickly on pc usb & long-lasting. So much better than using all my outlets for motion detection night lights.

This fit in places you need without having to attach to your wall. Mostly using for small dark closets. It has a nice glow. I do have them hanging from the wire racks, and they are easy to move to a different location if you need to. Highly recommend.
